P.T.F.E – Key Features & Properties

Chemical Resistance

P.T.F.E is resistant to virtually all chemicals, even at elevated temperatures and pressures. It is unaffected by most acids, alkalis, solvents, and process fluids. P.T.F.E contains no additives such as lubricants, plasticizers, or stabilizers that could contaminate process media.

Temperature Resistance

• Operating temperature range: –100°C to +260°C

Electrical Insulation

• Excellent dielectric properties
• Electrical performance remains stable across wide temperature and frequency ranges

Low Coefficient of Friction

• Lowest coefficient of friction among solid materials
• Wear resistance can be enhanced using fillers such as glass fiber, carbon, graphite, bronze, or MoS₂

Anti-Stick Properties

• Non-adhesive surface prevents material build-up and fouling

Long Service Life

• Retains mechanical and chemical properties even after long exposure to:
  • Oils and solvents
  • UV radiation
  • Oxidizing agents
  • Harsh environmental conditions
